The location is ideally situated close to public transport. The noisy plumbing was a bit of a downside .

The hotel is fairly close to the Gare D'Est.
The carpet in the room that we stayed in should have been replaced about 30 years ago! It was sticky with filth. The cockroaches ate a hole through my chocolate bar wrapper which was inside my backpack. The chap at the frontdesk solved the problem of our leaking ceiling by putting a bucket down and we simply had to continue working around the bucket. Probably one of the worst hotels in Paris.

The hotel was homey and atmospheric, and the staff were super-friendly, thoroughly enjoyed the particularly good location right by central Paris and public transport. The room was well heated and brand-new with comfortable beds when upgraded.

Consider asking for a more updated room, as some may have noise issues while others do not.

We arrived at 4:00am due to delayed flights, the staff was very kind and patient with us. By European standards the room was decent sized.
We did not care for the location or the "state" of the room. While it was clean (sheets/bathroom), it had stains all over carpet, shower curtain and wall paper. The floor in the bathroom was rotting - overall things were very old, creepy, and uncomfortable. We booked it for four nights and only stayed one...we have lived in Europe for a year, and have stayed in many "budget" hotels, but this was the first one we could not stomach.

The manager Yaz was very nice. The staff were very nice and helpful. It was convenient to the Metro stations.
Old and rundown. Carpets were old and looks dirty. Smell in the bathroom when we checked in lingered even after the staff cleaned it.

The hotel staff were very helpful and went out of their way to check things for me. The location is great very handy for eurostar and for the location it was quite a good price.
The room is small but when weighing up the price and location i don't think you could expect much more really. The biggest problem was the mice! I was kept awake by them running across the ceiling and into the bathroom. I only actually saw one but it sounded like there was a lot more! I told reception about it and he looked shocked but there was 3 poison trap in the room which makes me think it wasn't the first complaint they'd had. I was a bit disappointed that i wasn't offered another room or a bit of money off the bill. Also although the beds were made daily and it was hoovered etc the room looked dirty because it was so stained. The carpet had a big water mark and stains all over it, the curtains were dirty and everything was very dated. I wouldn't stay there again

The manager was very pleasant and personable. He was very helpful and gracious.
The rooms left much to be desired. The fact that there was absolutely no space to place anything outside of your suitcase was ridiculous. Other than two chairs and a tiny space on the TV table there was no place to put anything. The mice infestation in the room made for a very uncomfortabe experience

I had a good stay with cozy accommodations, perfect for exploring the vibrant area. The coffee machine plus a small fridge added convenience, though the plumbing noise occasionally disrupted my peace. Nonetheless, the warm hospitality from Yaz made it all worthwhile. I'll gladly return!

Hotel staff considerate, attentive and accommodating. Breakfast (Petit dejeuner) very good value. Room tidied and bathroom towels changed daily. Value for money.
Tiling and shower tray in need of refurbishment.

Absolutely nothing! This was a horrible hotel! Booked.net never led me astray during my 3 weeks in France - it was wonderful- but this place has no place in your listings. It was filthy and the staff surly. Unshaded bare lightbulbs over the bed might have been a problem but both were burnt out and didn't work anyway so no matter.. A modicum of cleanliness would have been good - but that was not to be. A clean bedsheet was put over an old dirty mattress without even a mattress pad. I slept fully dressed in my day clothes.. For the sake of your reputation, this hotel should be removed from your list. Even the shower was broken and the shower had to be shut off in order to wash. Nasty!!
